What’s up, you guys?
Is it just me or are the days getting shorter? Seems counter-intuitive, I know. Summer’s not so much crept upon us as it’s shoved Spring unceremoniously out of the way, and socks are giving way to sleeveless things here in Mumbai. Yes, okay? I wear socks in winter. I’m old and always cold. Deal with it.
My point is, the days ought to be longer, but they’re seeming much shorter to me. Possibly because they’re so jam-packed with things to do that I feel like I’ve scheduled myself down to the next second.
There is the job, where one of our staff is serving her notice period, when we haven’t gotten around to hiring people since the last few left. So more work, less time to deliver and all the corresponding stress. Yup. Acidity, what acidity?
Then there’s the book, which will be out in exactly a month from today. (Where are your calendars? Why am I not seeing furious penciling, dammit?) We’ve just gotten the cover locked down yesterday and I’m too busy to even whoop for joy. Then there’s the launch to schedule, plan and put together and oh, any amount of related insanity. #secondbookproblems, I tell ya.
There is also this other project I’ve been working on. It’s special. It’s close to my heart. And it’s a whole lot of fun. That’s all I’m saying about it for now – but watch this space, you’re gonna love it when it launches in March. As well.
And then there’s everything else: trying to stay fit and healthy (translation: doing ab crunches without warning and having to wince every time I cough), failing at staying fit and healthy (did I mention the cough?), Pookie’s upcoming Annual Day, Rook’s upcoming alumni meet, portfolios to go through, people to hire and… whoa, is that the time? Gotta run, work beckons!
